"Open my eyes, that I may behold wonderful things from Your law." Psalm 119:18 NASB. Ever wondered why we all have different understanding concerning earthly matters. Why, one drives without a seatbelt and another wears one. Why, one swears and another doesn't. Why one tells lies and another cannot. Why, one can hurt and another can love. To each one of us, another's attitude seems laughable or unacceptable. But their words demonstrate how quickly it can change. What seems offensive one day can seem normal the next. We can be blinded by our own stubborn resistance to change. In our spiritual lives, each of us can become so blinded by our preconceived ideas that we are resistant to things God wants to teach us. As you think about the new year 2020, remember that God knows your future. Lay your plans and thoughts before Him. Seek His wisdom. Allow Him to give you discernment and teach you His truths. Don’t trust in your own understanding, but lean on Him. He will direct your path. He will open your eyes to see His righteousness. Prayer Father, give me discernment and wisdom. Open my eyes that I may behold wonderful things from Your law. I trust in You. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.
