Good morning. Peace be with you all. Rejoice in the Lord always. "I will also make You a light of the nations so that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth." Isaiah 49:6 NASB.

Insight

Yesterday was the day that Christians throughout the centuries celebrate Epiphany. It’s a day set aside to celebrate the coming of the wise men to bring gifts to Jesus as a baby. Why honour these magi? Because they were the first Gentiles to honour Jesus.

The word epiphany means “to make known or reveal.” And the appearance of the magi was an epiphany, revealing that Jesus had come to be the Saviour of people in all nations. This meant that salvation was for everyone, regardless of their race or background!

Epiphany is a day to focus on spreading the Gospel. Through Isaiah, God prophesied that Jesus would be “a light of the nations” so that salvation would “reach to the ends of the earth.” Today, the light od Christ still shines. But it is estimated that more than two billion people have not heard the name of Jesus!

Challenge

For a minute, think about the people you know who need salvation – friends, family, politicians, celebrities, co-workers, entertainers, kings, generals, people in your neighborhood, and around the world. Jesus died so that all these people might not perish but have everlasting life.

Ask God to show you what you can do to help reach the world with the Gospel. Pray for people He brings into your life. Tell them about Jesus. People everywhere need to hear the Good News of Christ.

Prayer

Father, thank You for sending Jesus. I pray for salvation for all that don't know you Him as their Lord and Saviour. Use me to impact lives for Your Kingdom. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.
