FAMILY OF FAITH MINISTRIES.
Good morning. The Peace of God be with you all. Rejoice in the Lord always. "You shall certainly tithe all the produce from what you sow … the tithe of your grain, your new wine, your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and your flock, so that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always." Deuteronomy 14:22-23 NASB.
Insight: For God’s people, tithing was not an option. It was a command and central to their relationship with Him. The word tithe comes from a Hebrew word meaning a tenth. This tenth represented the portion of their provisions that God demanded from them to share with those that did not have. It applied to their herds and flocks, their grain, resources, and everything else needed to survive. It was a constant reminder that they owed everything to God who provides. All He required from them was a portion to be given back to bless someone else in recognition of His blessings. It reminded them that tithing wasn’t just an obligation. It was a key to being blessed and demonstrated Faith in God. In return, God promised to protect and provide for them. Today, God still promises to provide for us when we "seek first His Kingdom" in Matthew 6:33. As we give and share with those that do not have, Jesus promised that abundant blessings will come to us, “pressed down, shaken together, and running over” in Luke 6:38. But we must give without seeking worldly rewards. People fabricate many excuses for not giving as God commands. They give with other priorities and personal interests. We need to give Him priority by making sure He has first place in our hearts.
Challenge: Demonstrate your commitment to God through your tithes and offerings. Your gifts are a symbol of your relationship in faith with Him. It is proof that you trust and believe in God.
Prayer: Father, I dedicate my time, talents, and treasures to You. Teach me to share freely with those that do not have. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.🙏🏼🔥🙌🏼💖
