FAMILY OF FAITH MINISTRIES.
Good morning. The Peace of God be with you all. Rejoice in the Lord always. "These are the kings of the land whom the sons of Israel defeated … [including] the territory of Og king of Bashan, one of the remnant of Rephaim." Joshua 12:1, 4 NASB.
Insight: When the twelve spies scouted the Promised Land, their dominant impression was not of its abundance or potential but the presence of giants. They were terrified by these giants. When the spies reported back to the Israelites, the whole nation was filled with fear. Because of their doubt, they were not allowed to move into the land.
Forty years later as they prepared to enter the land, the Israelites knew what they faced. God told them that “only Og king of Bashan was left of the remnant of the Rephaim.” Og was intimidating, a giant ruling a vast region. He was so well known that they even knew that his bedstead was made of iron in Deuteronomy 3:11.
The Israelites had good reason to be afraid. Yet, trusting God and armed with faith, they defeated this mightybfoe and gained possession of his territory.
Who are the “giants” we face today? When we see giants like these, do we run away in fear and assume that defeat is inevitable? Does victory seem impossible?
Repeatedly, the Bible promises that God can give His people victory over giants if they trust Him. If they act in faith and believe that, with Him on their side, they can be victorious over any foe – even giants.
Challenge: What giants do you face today? Don’t run away or expect defeat. Ask God for His help to give you the wisdom and resources you need to be victorious. Trust in Him.
Prayer: Father, I commit all these giants in my life to You, today. I believe You for victory over them. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.🙏🏼🔥🙌🏼
