DAILY DEVOTION - 17 JULY 2020

Good morning. Peace be with you all. Rejoice in the Lord always. "For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." Revelation 7:17.

Insight

Jesus often referred to as "a lamb" in the bible depicts the perfect sacrifice made by God and Jesus Himself. Before Christ time, believers of God would sacrifice a lamb unblemished to God for repentance of their sins. What sacrifice do we have to make today to cleans us from sin?

Challenge

None, but we have to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. What a beautiful picture! The One who died for us will nourish and refresh us. The One upon whom all eternity hinges will take time to personally comfort us and lead us through His Holy Spirit. No wonder Paul could say that he did not consider his present sufferings worth comparing to the glory that would be revealed to us in Romans 8:18. Today, be mindful of Christ's perfect sacrifice as a gift given to purchase our freedom from sin and a place in eternal Heaven. May God bless and protect you all. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.
