FAMILY OF FAITH MINISTRIES.
Good morning. The Peace of God be with you all. Rejoice in the Lord always. "The LORD has today declared you to be His people, His personal possession … that you are to keep all His commandments; and that He will put you high above all nations which He has made … that you shall be a consecrated people to the LORD your God." Deuteronomy 26:18-19 NASB.
Insight: Moses reminded the Israelites that they were a treasured possession, specifically chosen by God to be “His people.” He desired to exalt them and give them “glory, fame, and honor” in verse19. God wanted to give them special blessings.
But He also reminded them that He had given them special responsibilities. These responsibilities were tied to the blessings they would receive. As they prepared to enter the Promised Land, Moses explained that they represented God. He had called and chosen them. He had prepared blessings for them and was ready to lead and guide them. But they needed to do their part.
First, they were required to “keep all His commandments.” This wasn’t complicated. Just obey God and keep His laws. Worship Him. Serve Him.
Lastly, Moses also reminded the Israelites that they were to “be a consecrated people.” They had to remember that they belonged to Him. In God’s eyes, they were holy and set apart from the heathen nations around them.
Challenge: Today, God considers everybody His chosen people. The Bible reminds us that God has prepared abundant blessings for everyone who seeks and believes in Him. But, just like the Israelites, you have a role to play. You need to obey and serve Him. Walk with and Follow Him. Consecrate your life to Him. Fill your mind with His Word. And always remember that you belong to Him.
Prayer: Father, I dedicate my life to You. Help me not imitate the ways of the world. I seek first Your Kingdom. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.🙏🏼🔥🙌🏼💖
