FAMILY OF FAITH MINISTRIES.

Good morning. The Peace of God be with you all. Rejoice in the Lord always. "When my heart was embittered and I was pierced within, then I was stupid and ignorant … Whom do I have in heaven but You? And with You, I desire nothing on earth." Psalm 73:21, 25 NASB.

Insight: The psalmist had been embittered by events of life. He used a Hebrew word that suggests being harsh, like a liquid that is sour or even fermented. Many events had left a bad taste in his mouth.

Many of us have had experiences like this. We may have felt wounded by things others have said or what they have done. Going through these experiences, we might sulk or complain, or become bitter. This bitterness can be poisonous, affecting our attitudes and even our health.

As the psalmist struggled with this issue, he realized that the answer was to turn to God, to focus on Him, and to seek Him and declare His faith in Him. People might disappoint the writer, but he remembered that God was faithful. He learned the importance of desiring God.

Likewise, instead of focusing on the actions of other people, we need to ask Him to end our bitterness. We need to stand on the promises in His Word.

The Bible reminds us that God wants to give us victory and help us enjoy the fruit of covenant-promise living. But a bitter heart can rob us of this victory.

Challenge: Don’t give in to temptation or allow your heart to be dominated by bitterness. Instead turn toward God! Focus on Him. Declare His promises to be true for you. Speak Scriptures into your life. Worship Him and thank Him for the victory that is yours.

Prayer: Father, thank You that I can trust You. Heal the hurts I feel in my heart. Give me Your peace and freedom! In Jesus mighty name. Amen.🙏🏼🔥🙌🏼💖
