DAILY DEVOTION - 26 MARCH 2021.

FAMILY OF FAITH MINISTRIES Good morning. The Peace of God be with you all. Rejoice in the Lord always. "Do not boast in the presence of the king, and do not stand in the place of great men; for it is better that it be said to you, 'Come up here,' than for you to be placed lower in the presence of the prince." Proverbs 25:6-7 NASB. Insight: How do we advance in our careers? How do we receive the recognition we think we deserve? For many, the logical strategy is through self-promotion and bringing attention to ourselves. Seeking credit for successes and pointing the blame at others for failures, are strategies often employed for self-advancement and reward. It’s being sure others know us by name and being aggressive to lobby for the best seat, in honour. Yes, some tend to seek self-recognition and praise. Some even want all cameras pointed at them for recognition. The Bible describes these attitudes as claiming honour “in the presence of the king.”

But the Bible gives us Four Biblical Models: 1. To have the attitude of a servant in everything we do. 2. Seek to serve God and others with a selfless attitude. 3. We are not to be proud or focus on ourselves but to stay humble. 4. We are always to work as unto the Lord, being sure that He is pleased with what we do and how we do it. We are urged to remember that “those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted” in Matthew 23:12 NLT. If we humble ourselves before God, He will exalt us in James 4:10. Challenge: Remember that others may see outward appearances, but God looks at your heart. Remember to seek first His kingdom. Sow seeds with the gifts and talents you have been given. Be confident that He will provide all you need and bless you abundantly. Prayer: Father, help me to serve You in everything I do. Direct my career. May my life be pleasing in Your sight. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.🙏🏼🔥🙌🏼💖
