DAILY DEVOTION - 31 MARCH 2020

Good morning. Peace be with you all. Rejoice in the Lord always. "But I know the LORD will help those they persecute; he will give justice to the poor." Psalm 140:12 NLT. Insight To whom can the poor turn when they are persecuted? They lack the money to get food and professional help; they may be unable to see life as joy filled and defend themselves. But there is always someone on their side—the Lord will stand by them and ultimately bring about justice. Challenge This should be a comfort for us all. No matter what our situation may be, the Lord is with us. Christ showed us that He had a heart to help the poor and sick. But this truth should also call us to responsibility. As God's people, we are required to defend the rights of the poor and powerless. May God bless and protect you all. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.
